Head Lice Removal

LICE911 provides head lice and nit removal services in the comfort of your home or at our Maple Ridge clinic. We work closely with each client to educate and teach effective lice removal and prevention procedures. Our clients are left with the knowledge and confidence needed to effectively screen, treat and prevent re-infestations.

All in-home services have a service charge depending on location and are booked within 24-48 hours. You can save the service charge by travelling to our Maple Ridge clinic.  

Removal services are now covered by some extended health plans.

Lice Screening Services:

Are you worried you may have head lice or that you may have missed a nit? Not sure what to look for?

We offer full head lice evaluation and diagnosis. Our head lice specialists will screen all family members and evaluate the level of infestation. If we confirm an infestation, our head lice specialists can show you what works and what doesn't while educating and teaching effective lice and nit removal methods. Every confirmed diagnosis receives a full comb out schedule so you know exactly when & how to comb out following your visit.

Head Lice and Nit Removal Services:

LICE911 offers full head lice and nit removal services. This service can be conducted at our Maple Ridge clinic or we can travel to your home (nominal service charges apply).

Our lice specialists will teach you everything you need to know to beat the lifecycle and will show you the easiest, safest and fastest way to beat the bugs. We begin by screening all family members to evaluate the level of infestation. Once we confirm an infestation, we proceed with the wet-combing method.

This method is based on breaking up the life cycle of the head louse. We do not use any chemical treatments, pesticides or enzyme treatments. The  wet-combing method is safe and non-toxic and is supported by health nurses and pediatricians across Canada. Head Lice cannot become resistant to it.

With each comb out, our technicians remove over 95% of everything that is there. A comb out takes about an hour per person (depending on the length of hair and severity of infestation)   Cost:  $60.00/hour

We have 3 packages available...

1. Our full package is designed to do the removal work for you. With this service you will be lice free and back to regular routine very quickly. You do not have to do any nit picking or lice treatments with this package and your success is absolutely guaranteed.
2. With our helping hands package, we do the first combout for you. While we are working, we'll show how to use our method to comb out so that you are able to do a few comb outs on your own. Then, you'll do a few comb outs, then we'll do one. We continue back & forth until you are lice free. 
3. A first combout service would be to have us do the first full combout for you leaving you with a full combout schedule so you know exactly what to do after we leave. This first combout will remove over 95% of everything that is there, making the follow ups much easier for you. This includes free lice checks in our maple ridge salon until you are lice free.  

Lice Removal Training Session:

We also offer a personalized training session for those families who would like to do their  own nit-picking but need some help getting started. This is a personalized service where we explain how to break up the lifecycle including what works and what doesn't. Our specialists start by screening all family members to determine the level of infestation. Then, we'll show you exactly what to look for and teach you the tricks of the trade during our hands-on component. This service takes about an hour and we work through the entire head with you. You are left with enough information to continue on your own. This service includes a LICE911 Removal Kit so you have all the tools you need to easily continue on your own.
