Our School Services:
LICE911 believes that schools can positively influence children's health. Head lice are manageable in a school setting and proactive measures can help prevent school wide outbreaks.
There are many benefits to regular screening such as:
Keep ahead of head lice this year by booking our school-wide screening services. Screening sessions are scheduled a minimum of 3 times during the year; September, January & again in April. This helps prevent school wide outbreaks by treating all infested students at the same time.
With this service, our head lice specialists travel to your school to screen students and staff. We go to great lengths to make your school screening experience fabulous & fun. During our visit, we normalize the subject of head lice among the school community by encouraging open communication and answering any questions your students may have. All students are given a reward for participating which further helps open the line of communication between students, parents & staff members.
Our proven system helps families who are struggling with re-occurring outbreaks. Your school screening service includes discounts on our LICE911 Removal Kit, unlimited access to our helpline and support for families with chronic cases.
Properly trained volunteers greatly reduce the chance of misdiagnosis and are able to offer additional help to families who are struggling. The LICE911 training session teaches everything your school needs to establish and maintain a successful school-wide screening program.
This training program includes: a school checklist, how to deal with a head lice outbreak, confidentiality, screening etiquette, preventative measures, how to break the lifecycle and beat the infestation, and educational materials including samples of head lice and nits.
Our hands-on screening component provides an opportunity to experience a screening session, maintain confidentiality while building confidence diagnosing infestations and without drawing attention to the student.
You will leave our session with enough knowledge to confidently screen, treat and help prevent head lice infestations. All trainees receive an information package and a LICE911 School Screening Kit is included.
$575.00 for up to 5 people ($50 for each additional person)
Removal Training Session
Having a group of volunteers trained in head lice removal will provide additional help to families of infested students. These volunteers are able to field additional questions from families struggling as they know first hand what it is like to remove head lice.
The LICE911 Removal Training session includes information on lice facts, the lifecycle of the head louse, how to diagnose an infestation, confidentiality, and current preventative measures with a huge focus on using the Wet-Combing method of removal. Our hands-on component teaches exactly how to eliminate head lice and is guaranteed to build confidence.
This session goes well as a second component to your screening training. Each volunteer leaves with an information package and LICE911 Removal Kit. Many schools are using these kits as a loan out to families in their school as they are completely reusable.
Removal Training Session $150.00 per person
